A transitional member is a representative in good standing, who has become unemployed due to elimination of job position, mergers, acquisitions or other legitimate business reasons.  Transitional membership is granted by the Board of Directors and remains in effect until such representative shall resume full-time employment, but should not extend for a period of more than one year.  Although a transitional member has no voting rights, and may not serve as an Officer or Director, they are welcomed and encouraged to attend all membership meetings and Chapter functions.
